Established in 1986, Tempo was founded on the premise that THEATRE safety illumination could be designed and produced to radically simplify the installation and maintenance process. Today, Tempo manufactures over 85% of cinema safety lighting in North America and provides total lighting solutions for theatre venues.

Tempo was an early pioneer in LED technology, shipping the first LED safety lighting product in 1997. Recognizing the game-changing benefits of LEDs, Tempo leveraged their experience and developed ARCHITECTURAL LED lighting systems for accent, cove and wall wash applications. Tempo’s extensive range of products has received multiple lighting design awards and patents in recognition for their innovative advances.

All Tempo products and systems are manufactured at Tempo’s Tustin, California headquarters. In an era where projects are delayed waiting for overseas shipments, Tempo has maintained full control of their supply chain and provides the industry’s shortest and most reliable lead times.
